Just wanted to pass along a quick Liam update. We had his MRI yesterday and he handled it like a champ. He was really pretty calm when they were sticking him and only really screamed when they were digging around trying to find his vein. He pretty much stopped as soon as they stopped poking him. He took a while to wake up and pretty much just seemed angry that we were interrupting his sleep.
Today we met with the Neurologist to go over everything. After an hour long wait, which was super annoying, the dr. came in and let us know that the MRI looked very good and everything looked normal. Normal, meaning no tumors or other serious issues. You can clearly see though that his right muscle is much shorter than the left. The right muscle takes almost a 90 degree turn into his shoulder while the left gently curves. If I can figure out how to get a picture off of the CD I will post it so you can see too. I make no promises on that one though.
We are going to continue with therapy and see if we make any progress in the next month and a half. We have to come back to Vegas for an Ophthalmology appointment in mid-July anyway, so we scheduled a follow-up then with the neurologist. If there hasn't been much improvement, we are going to have to go see a surgeon and his muscle may need to be surgically "stretched". I have absolutely no idea what that means and am trying not to think about it. We will cross that bridge if and when we come to it!
Keep praying! We know that God is the great physician and can heal Liam in an instant or He may choose for us to walk a long road. We know that whichever it may, He is big and He is in control.
